I'm Yazan, an ACCA-qualified finance leader with 10+ years across Deloitte, PwC, and three TSX-listed public companies. I've directed audits, led month-end close for mining operations, and built financial controls from the ground up. Now I work directly with small and mid-sized businesses who need that same institutional expertise — without the overhead of a full-time hire.
My Background
I started my career at Deloitte Middle East before moving into senior roles at PwC Pakistan and then Deloitte Toronto, where I managed audit engagements for some of Canada's largest publicly listed mining, energy and manufacturing companies including Hudbay Minerals, Yamana Gold, Glencore and Canadian Tire.
From there I moved into industry, serving as Corporate Controller at Global Atomic Corporation, Senior Accounting Manager at Equinox Gold, and most recently as Director of Finance at Troilus Mining all TSX-listed public companies where I led financial reporting, month-end close, audit coordination, budgeting and IFRS compliance at the highest level.
Today I bring that same institutional expertise directly to growing businesses through Obsidian Arc Advisory on a flexible, project-based model that fits your budget and timeline.
